Final to be played for the first time in Tamale

Organisers of the MTN FA Cup have selected the Tamale Sports stadium to host the final of this year’s competition.

The announcement was made at the draw for the semi-final pairings which was held at the MPLAZA Hotel on Tuesday.

The Tamale Sports stadium – for the first time – will host the final of the FA Cup, with Hearts Oak, Wa All Stars, Medeama and Asante Kotoko all battling to be champions.

Hearts of Oak will face Wa All Stars, with Kotoko also slugging it out with Medeama for a place in the final.

All semi-final matches will be played at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium on October 1, with the final scheduled for October 29.
